Chasing Trains in the Queen City

Cincinnati, OH 2/1/03

Not having much to do in Muncie this weekend, I was on the road again. Cincinnati is only 2 1/2 hours away so off I went. Click on the images for a larger, more detailed view.
My first catch was in Hamilton, OH. Shortline Great Miami GP 9 #20 (ex NW 652) sits quietly waiting for Monday's work.
Upon arriving in Cincy, I headed for Cincinnati Union Terminal (CUT for short). Built in 1931, the station is a classic example of art-deco design. It is now home of the Cincinnati Museum Center and hosts only two daily Amtrak trains.
